The Leibniz ScienceCampus Europe and America is a joint research project of the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) and the University of Regensburg. It is supported by a grant from the Leibniz Association. The ScienceCampus seeks to strengthen collaboration between the Leibniz Institute and the University by creating a visible research cluster and an interdisciplinary platform for scholarly exchange in Area Studies.

The Board of Directors is responsible for coordinating the development of the ScienceCampus and its research profile. The Steering Committee is formed of the executive board and the other Research Module coordinators, the manager and one doctoral representative. The role of the steering group is to collaborate the Board of Directors in ensuring the success of the ScienceCampus. The Advisory Board is formed of experts from other German and international institutions. Its members provide feedback on the development of the ScienceCampus.

The manager is responsible for running the ScienceCampus, with support from an assistance and colleagues at UR and IOS.
