Internal Workshop | State Descriptions Revisited: Historical Forms of Territorial Representations, 18th - 21st Centuries
On 29-30 September, researchers from across Germany and Europe, as well as from the US and India, gathered in Regensburg and online to develop further the ideas from an online-only event in January.
This event was a follow-up to an online workshop held in January 2022. Organized by Borbála Zsuzsanna Török (Centre for Global Cooperation Research, University Duisburg-Essen) and Guido Hausmann (IOS Regensburg), it was additionally supported by the University of Regenburg Hans Vielberth Foundation. Scholars from across Germany and Europe, as well as from the US and India, gathered in person at IOS and online to further develop ideas on how heterogeneous forms of state description have proliferated across the globe. As well as numerous participants from the initial workshop, there were additional guests including Kathleen Wroblewski, who was a ScienceCampus visiting fellow in May 2022. Attending the workshop also provided an opportunity for Nilanjana Mukherjee of the University of Delhi to give a lunchtime Brownbag talk with our partner institution CITAS at UR.
