The Leibniz ScienceCampus Europe and America in the Modern World is delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Celia Torrecillas Bautista to Regensburg as a visiting fellow throughout July 2022.

She is interim Associate Professor in Applied Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid. She was awarded a doctorate in Social and Legal Studies in the faculty of International Economics at the University of Jaén. She has a Masters in Economics and Innovation Management and postgraduate degree in legal practice from the Complutense University of Madrid. Before that she graduated in Business Administration and Management from the University of Jaén and the University of Dundee (Scotland). In Regensburg, she will be collaborating with partners at the Forschungszentrum Spanien (CEH) at UR, as well as with colleagues in the business and economics departments of IOS and UR. She has an office in the Romance Studies department and looks forward to networking with colleagues in Regensburg. You are welcome to contact her at celiatorrecillas@ucm.es.

On 18 July at 18:15 in H19, she will give the concluding lecture in the joint ScienceCampus and CITAS lecture series, “Exports and outward Foreign Direct Investment as drivers of eco-innovations: An analysis based on Spanish manufacturing firms.” You are all warmly invited to attend. This talk draws on her expertise in research on multinational companies in developing countries, including the role of eco-innovation and environmental concerns. She has published extensively with leading peer-reviewed journalism, including the Journal of Cleaner Production: Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and the Journal of Technology Transfer and Technological and Economic Development of Economy.
