Where? S 2. 14 | Sammelgebäude | UR Campus

The Regensburg European American Forum (REAF), in cooperation with the Leibniz ScienceCampus, warmly invites you to a Recent Research Roundtable with LSC Visiting Professor Dr Marike Janzen from the University of Kansas. Join us on Tuesday, 24 June at 16:30 in S 2. 14 for an informal afternoon under the motto "Mocktails with Marike" – a relaxed opportunity to connect over refreshing summer drinks and engaging conversation about research, current projects, and shared interests.

Marike Janzen is Associate Professor in the Department of Slavic, German, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Kansas and Director of the Max Kade Center for German-American Studies. Her research focuses on 20th- and 21st-century German literature, literature of human rights, migration and refugee narratives, literary publics, and the literature of the international left, within broader frameworks of comparative and world literature. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas at Austin.

During her stay in Regensburg from 8 June to 20 July 2025 (with a return planned for the summer semester 2026), she will be based at REAF, contributing to talks, discussions, and teaching.
